NO, these movies aren’t X-rated, BUT your grandchildren probably wouldn't enjoy them. We will explore themes including relationships, life changes, identity, romance, and even death—through music, art, drama, and poetry in the films. After brief remarks and viewing of the movies, the heart of the course will be an opportunity for class members to discuss aspects of the films of interest to them and meaningful to their lives. Films to be shown: Chico & Rita, Persepolis, My Dog Tulip, The Triplets of Belleville, Spirited Away, Loving Vincent, The Red Turtle, and Coco.

Instructors: Beth Johnson (johnson1ea@earthlink.net) is a lifelong movie buff and leads a monthly film discussion group for the American Association of University Women. Longtime film fan, discussion co-leader Bob Hillman is a retired university librarian who scrupulously follows movie reviews and goes to the movies weekly with sister and course instructor Beth Johnson.
