We will base our learning on interactive methods to develop skills in speaking, reading and writing French with the major emphasis on spoken French used to communicate. Some introduction to French culture will also be included. Classroom work will be in groups and with partners, and the instructor will incorporate audio-visual presentations. Progress of the participants will be based on the effort made both in and out of the class setting, and participants can expect an amount of homework that will be more than average for an OLLI course. Course outline

Michael Kegan (m.kegan@me.com) lived in Strasbourg, France for 12 years and studied medicine in French.  He enjoys speaking French and hopes to introduce others to this beautiful language. Michael has lived in Western North Carolina since 2003 and is active in French Meetup groups in Asheville.
