OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - OLLI MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED TO REGISTER

Create a small birdhouse and learn the twined method of weaving.  Each participant will work with hand dyed colorful reeds and learn an easy-to-master twined basket creation technique. Birdhouse design, basket tips and native materials will all be up for discussion as you create a home for the birds.

Don’t forget your reading glasses!  

Carla Filippelli (cranberryc@bellsouth.net) delights in sharing her passion for Creative Basketry and fiber arts.  As a studio artist for over 30 years, she exhibits her baskets and sculpture in galleries and exhibitions worldwide.  Currently she maintains a full time craft studio with her husband Greg.  They have been exhibiting artists in the Arts in Embassies Program and members of the Southern Highland Guild since 1983.
