2019 Summer

We will read books and watch movies of The Asphalt Jungle, The Getaway, The Great Train Robbery and Rum Punch (Jackie Brown). We will watch two additional book-free movies, Thief (based on a book that is very hard to find at a reasonable price) and A Fish Called Wanda, just because it is a great comedy heist movie.

Participants should read the relevant book during the week before class and watch the movie during class. The movie is preceded by a brief lecture on various aspects of the book and movie, followed by discussion.
