Based upon the work of Jose Silva, Functional Meditation invites us to move into our own greenhouse of discovery while we move into and out of the meditative state at least three times during each meeting. The participant will learn to effectively and independently achieve the meditative state and at the very least become more relaxed. Elements to be considered during practice are pain control, improved sleep and another art to better communication. Clearly you will feel better and better. If you are inexperienced in meditation, the first session is mandatory.
As a professional health-care provider and certified in physical therapy, cranio-sacral therapy and the Feldenkrais Method, Jacquie Wollins (Jwollins5@gmail.com) has been facilitating independent behaviors throughout her lifetime. Teaching meditation is a rewarding facet as it gives the student keys to reaching for their optimum potential. Jacquie has been teaching highly recommended classes at College for Seniors for several years.
