Review the basic steps involved in deductive wine tasting and then taste the following Tuscan red wines: Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile de Montepulciano, and Brunello di Montalcino, characterizing the similarities and differences in the wines. Taste several levels of wine from one winery to understand the difference in quality. Discuss the levels of Italian wine classification and learn the requirements for composition and aging of the wines. Explore how the wines pair with different foods by combining each wine with a small serving of sweet, salty, or spicy food.

She has done extensive wine tasting trips in France, Italy, Greece and California. She has successfully completed the Level I Sommelier Course with the Court of Master Sommeliers is studying for the sommelier certification exam.
