Location: RISE Studio, 60 Biltmore Ave, #2, Asheville
We will work through the exercises developed by Joseph Pilates, focusing on developing core strength, flexibility, coordination, alignment and posture. Pilates will be introduced as an exercise regimen and also as a support for other activities such as hiking, running, yoga, gardening and everyday pursuits. Pilates is an exceptional workout regardless of current fitness level because all exercises are easily adapted or modified to meet individual physical needs. Recommendations: Participants should be able to get up and down to the floor comfortably. Activities Fee: $30 will be collected at the studio on the first day of classes.
Elise Beckstett (Ebeckstett@me.com) is a classical Pilates instructor, certified through the 700+ hour PURE Pilates Training program. Her focus is working with active seniors. Elise continues to refine her skills through continuing education with some of the foremost practitioners around the country.
