Did you ever wonder what geologic forces created waterfalls and landforms of Yosemite, geothermal activity in Yellowstone or scenery of parks such as Arches and Shenandoah? What earth history is recorded in the Grand Canyon? We will explore these and other questions in a tour of the geology behind the scenery of the U.S. National Parks. No prior science background is required. NOTE: No Class Session on April 11. We will take an optional field trip on a Saturday morning. This course was originally taught in the Fall 2016 term.
